We are introducing a new feature that lets you designate which branch in your repository represents production work or serves as the source for customer update announcements.
Rather than being locked to the default branch, you can now explicitly choose a single branch to track from within our platform. This selection determines which branch is treated as the authoritative view for updates and communications.
When creating a repository, you will see a new dropdown that lists all branches available in your GitHub repository. The default branch is pre-selected, but you can change it to any branch that reflects your production-ready work or release cadence.
